Great River Regional Library - Eliminating Juvenile Fines
In 2020, two classmates of mine (George Dixon and Nico Ortega) and I partnered with the Great River Regional Library (GRRL) of Central Minnesota with the goal of helping them find out the impact of a recent change in policy - the elimination of late fees on juvenile materials - on overall library engagement.
With the data and resources available to us, we were able to give preliminary insights to the GRRL staff on the impact of fine removal, as well as help set up a user interface to allow them to rerun the analysis without us once more data became available.
It was a wonderful experience to get to help out an organization with such a strong community focus - check out the fully detailed findings here!
